Update

So we have now relocated to the Gila Valley. A series of unfortunate events once again. Anyway, Levi is serving again and I am looking for work, Bella is getting to spend time with cousins and Grandma and Grandpa and GG. Here is hoping for a better turn to things and that everyone is doing okay:o)

For some inexplicable reason Bella woke up at 5:30 this morning. So we had some cereal and settled in to watch some TV. I dozed off, and in this time so did she. But I guess she thought the rug made a better blanket than her real blanket did....

Bella quickly learned that jumping off the edge was great fun. She started to want to do it all by herself after a bit though. She doesn't know she can't swim, but wants to very badly. I see swimming lessons in our future I guess:o)

In the Nutshell................

SO the restaurant is A HUGE hit in the town of farmington. People are loving us and are coming back again and again...
On fathers day alone we did 29,000 dollars in business............ and that was with no liquor license! **pretty impressive I think**
SO the work is good....staffing sucks but I am going to get 2 days off a week now. WOO HOO!!

SInce Sara does mosyt of the post's I figured I would let you all know that I am still alive and kickin!1

So, I got Bella dressed in her jammies for bed, and left her to get her cup of water. I went back to her room and she had her shoes, cowboy hat, and duck. She was all ready to go somewhere I guess, and in very high style no less:o)

They are a bit out of order, but this is it! The new apartment has finally come together! There is still more to do, but all that is now tucked neatly away in one closet or another, awaiting my attention:o)

Welcome Home!!!

Well Bella and I have arrived in Farmington at last!! We got here late on Friday night, with my parents joining us for the trek. I have to admit I was so happy with how Bella acted the whole way. I was absolutely dreading being in the car with her for so long, given how much of a pill she has been in the past after just an hour in the car. She was a gem. She only had a couple melt-down moments, and that was usually just for a couple minutes after getting back into the car. My mom and dad have a portable DVD player which is probably most of the reason we made it without too much fuss. And we only had to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks 3 times!!:o) Oh and I musn't forget to mention the c-a-n-d-y, that helped aide our cause for a smooth trip, lol. We stopped by the restaurant briefly before we went to the apartment and Bella had this tired grin plastered on her face the whole time Levi was talking to her and showing her off. It was kind of like the ones that you see in elementary school portraits where the parents have said to smile in the picture and it turns out to be this fakey looking grimace sort of smile. It was hilarious! All the people were very nice and very complimentary of Bella:o)
Now I am wading through the enormous task of putting the house together. It is amazing how much stuff you can accumulate over a short period of time that doesn't have ANYWHERE to go when you move into an apartment. I am sifting through all my stuff again and purging as I go. Mom and I made curtains for Bella's room and now I need to find some fabric to do the same in Levi's and my bedroom. Bella has too many toys, and I have kept too many of her baby clothes. So those are some of the things that I am going to go through first. I think if there is stuff that I am really tempted to hang onto that she doesn't really play with, or that I just want to remember that I am going to take a picture of it, and then give it away or what have you. I don't want to get rid of everything mind you, and I don't think that would ever happen, but I don't want to be burdened by STUFF, and feel like I can't get new things because there are so many old things still hanging around. So here's to new beginnings and fantastic opportunities!!!

Progess

Ok........ SO here is the latest on the restaurant in Farmington.
Things are coming along well, I have hired about 100 people so far and hope to have 30 more by the weeks end. We have also enlisted the help of some other servers and management from some of our stores in Az. The restaurant equipment is all in and installed. tomorrow marks the first day of training which will go thru the week. We plan to be open on Monday the 19th. Its pushing it, but We can do it. Sara and Bella will be here sometime Next Saturday, I am anxiously waiting for their arrival. But in a nutshell. things are looking up and the endless workdays are looking me in the eye. I have to say tho, I cant wait..........I love the business and will be exited to be open and busy again.

I am Iron Manby Juanita Jackson(reposted with permission)

I'm not in the best of moods, but I saw Jon Favreau's "Iron Man" for the second time today, and it dawned on me that tonight is the time to write this review.
I wasn't even going to review this one, but Shelly sent me the best compliment I've received all year, and I decided that I needed to write this.
That necessity has only grown with the amount of people I've talked to about this movie. I had no idea that so many people had issues with Robert Downey Jr. and Terrence Howard. It's a tragedy of poor judgement, because these two are some very talented actors.
From the opening segment of this film, you know that you are in for another kind of superhero movie. This is the first outing for Marvel Studios, and you're engrossed from the time the title goes up on screen.
Robert Downey Jr. is perfect as the billionaire playboy running an arms manufacturing company. He's witty, charismatic, and completely carefree, until the s*** hits the fan during a sales pitch in Afghanistan. Here, you're treated to the events leading to his change of heart, and it's flawless.
It's fun. It's action. It's a man in a suit of armor flying around saving the world. There aren't many stupid lines. Each scene has a purpose, and the film flows seamlessly. Terrence Howard isn't annoying, he's warm and caring as Stark's best buddy.
Gwyneth Paltrow isn't boring either. She plays Pepper Potts, Stark's faithful assistant. I adored her character in this movie, I believed her, I cheered for her. I loved Jeff Bridges, and he was amazing. It was almost like you could see him only putting half his ability into this, and it was still compelling to watch him.
But the real star was Downey himself. You can't take your eyes off him when he's on the screen. They said Patrick Stewart was born to play Professor X, and so he did, and as of this movie, I believe that Downey could never be replaced as Tony Stark. You buy it for the whole movie - there was never room for doubt.
Thankfully, there are many moments that scream "Sequel!" I also urge you to stay till the end of credits, because that encore of a scene is a big deal to anyone that knows the mythology. This movie was an absolute joy, and a great way to herald the beginning of the summer season at the theatre. I can only hope that Spielberg made "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" this perfect, that Nolan made "The Dark Knight" at least as half as cool as this. It's that good, I have literally no complaints.
I find it so hard to believe that this was directed by the man that gave us "Elf." Most people don't know that about Favreau, but I'm with him now. I can't wait to see what he does next. He came from that to be the man with the [guts] to present a film to the masses with heart and plot. This is a movie that refuses to be the run of the mill crap that we are used to when it comes to comic book adaptations.
This comes highly recommended. Comic book geeks may find some snags, but I think that any deviation from canon was done well, and for plausible reasons, since nothing seems out of place. Anyone I know that had problems with Downey still came out of this grinning like a dork that had been purely entertained for two hours.
I still haven't had my fill of this one, I need to see it again and again. I went light on plot details on purpose. I don't want to ruin such a quality experience for anyone. It deserves your money and time. Get behind this one so we can turn the tide of crap threatening to take over the cinema.

So a little more on the move...

We ended up getting the truck a day early and packed it for about 3 hours. Essentially getting all the stuff packed that was at the house that Levi, Bella and I wouldn't need until we are actually going up there for good. Then Friday we got the rest of the truck packed. We enlisted the help of a young man from Mom and Dad's ward to help out and so it was almost done by the time I got off my morning shift at 8:30 AM. Mom, Dad and I ate some lunch (mostly to stall Dad a bit because we didn't want him to be too far ahead of us) So he got on the road about 11:30 AM.
Mom and I left after I got off of work. Right when we were getting in the car, Mom noticed that the steel bands on the front driver's side tire were showing, so we had to unpack the car and switch to the truck. No way were we going to end up with a flat tire in Bilas or somewhere *shudders at the thought*. So we are lucky that she saw it. We dropped Bella off at Aunt Doreen's house. We opted to let her stay with them because they have watched her before, and so that Levi would be able to spend his day off (Sunday) with her, because their house is only about 40 minutes away.
We were going to try to make it to maybe Holbrook, but we only made it as far as Globe and got a hotel room, because we were both really sleepy. I forgot/lost my contact case, so I used some of the hotel cups to store those, and Mom and I shared a king-sized bed. By this time of course, we had talked to Dad and he was in Shiprock (about 25 minutes away from Farmington), so we knew he was probably going to have the truck unpacked of small things by the time we got there.
Mom and I got up at 4:00 AM and got on the road again, and arrived in Farmington at about 10:30 AM. We commenced the unpacking, had a short break for lunch, and got everything out of the truck in time to turn in the U-Haul before the office closed at 4:30 local time. Dad had gotten the keys from the manager at about 8:00 AM, so he had done so much already, as is typical of him:o) Then we had to get the big stuff up the stairs. We got the dresser just fine, and the small couch was already done. Below is our experience with the big couch...and the oak armoire was strong-armed up the stairs with the aid of a short-term neighbor, Arturo. He had just gone for a 2-mile run, and saw us beginning to move that piece of furniture, and generously offered his assistance. Little did he know how atrociously heavy and awkward that thing really is. He was an enormous help, and turns out he is a jockey, and the Albuquerque races are in Farmington for about 3 months, and so he is living there for the season. I really want to see if I can catch one when Bella and I get there at the end of May.
So that is the long and short of it. I hope it is going to be a long while before we do this again. But I am excited for the opportunity to discover a new community and maybe make some friends. Looks like Levi is going to be delayed about another week, which is frustrating to say the least, but it will all come together eventually.

A Curse? or a Challenge to our moving skills?

At this moment I am sure Mom and Dad are wondering what it is with their children and picking out couches that are impossible to fit in the front door...we always overcome...or give away the couch. Either way works really:o) Sorry most of the pictures are sideways......
